Terrain Vanabas — a forest-village homestay in the Dooars.
What we do
Terrain Vanabas is a homestay, not a hotel — five rooms in Panijhora, a forest village on the edge of the Buxa Tiger Reserve in the Dooars. It is a community initiative of JCKTPIC: staffed locally, built into the village rather than fenced off from it. Guests wake up to the forest, eat what the kitchen garden gives, and spend the day walking with people who have lived there all their lives. The property runs to one acre, with an organic nutrition garden, an art and craft room, and open ground under the trees.
